Hugh by far to date is our biggest winner here at Chyscott. He has beyond exceeded any and all expectations we had when we began to show him in 2021 in hopes of finishing him nicely and possibly winning the STCA's oldest and most prestigious award, The Llyod Memorial Trophy. Well he did that and went on to be the #1 Scottish Terrier in All Breed points through the DogNews Stats. He also won 16 All Breed BIS in 2021, which also made him the #4 Terrier in the country. He won the Lloyd trophy for us for the 1st time here at Chyscott and to top it off he won the Scottish Terrier Club of America's  National Specialty at MCKC. Well over the next few years Hugh has amassed 30 All Breed BIS, 13 BISS, 2 National Spec, Breed at both Westminster and RC AKC Nat Ch show and a BBE Group 1, 2 & 3 and a Reg Terrier Group 4 at RC AKC Nat Ch show. Hugh has for sure taken us on a ride of a lifetime and has ended up being the All Time Winning Scottish Terrier Breeder/Owner/Handled in the history of the breed. He is now only 5 All Breed BIS from breaking the dog record in the breed. It is our hope that Hugh can achieve the goal of becoming the All Time Winning Scottish Terrier Dog in breed history throughout 2024. Once he achieves this goal he will retire from the show ring and continue to be a phenomenal dad passing down his amazing qualities as well as getting to be a great big pet here at the Chyscott house!

Multiple Best In Show & National Best In Specialty Show Winner
GCHB. McVan's Be Bop Boy at Chyscott
"Blake"

Blake - One of our new younger boys at Chyscott. Blake is out of our boy "Drake" and out of Vandra Huber's girl Betsy, GCh. McVan's Be Bop Baby. We are thrilled to have and own this beautiful young dog. We are super excited to get this boy in the ring in 2016. His first time in the ring was at MCKC in Oct. 2015. He won his 9-12 mo puppy class at Sweepstakes and took 2nd in the Open dog class at MCKC. We expect big and exciting things for Blake!

Blake has blown up the show ring over the past 2 years!!! In 2016 Blake won WD/BOW at the Scottish Terrier Club of America National Rotating Specialty, he then went on to win WD at the prestigious Devon show, Montgomery County weekend and then finished his American Championship by taking WD at the Scottish Terrier club of Tampa Bay specialty over the AKC championship weekend.

2017 - Blake began his specials career with quite a start. In Feb 2017 at our local Denver cluster weekend, shown only 3 days, Blake started with a Group 3 at the All Terrier Show, he then went on at the CKC shows and took back to back Group 1's and finished the weekend by winning Chyscott's first All Breed Best In Show under breeder judge Merle Taylor. Then we headed to St. Louis for the HOA specialty a few weeks later, On the Saturday all breed show, Blake went and did it again winning a strong Group 1 under Terrier expert Mareth Kipp and then won his 2nd All Breed Best under dog icon Judge Joe Gregory. We were simply stunned by how well this boy was doing so quickly.

Well it didn't end there as Mom and Whit headed to the STCA Rotating Specialty in Dayton, OH the first of April and Blake continued to impress by winning Best of Breed at our National Specialty under English Breeder Judge Laurie Herd.

2017 was an incredible year for Blake. He is a top 5 Scottish Terrier in both Breed Standings as well as All Breed Standings. Blake's show career has been a dream this year. He won several specialties, the National as well as 2 All Breed Best In Shows and 2 All Terrier Best In Shows. Blake is now handing the reigns to his aunt, Phoenix for 2018. Blake will be shown selectively in 2018.
